NEWS | Health club chain Snap Fitness debuts in Gurgaon

Health club chain Snap Fitness has opened its first fitness center in Gurgaon, Haryana at DLF Qutub Plaza market. 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vikram BM, Founder & CEO Snap Fitness India, said: “Our success in the southern part of the country inspired us to make this swift move to the North India. We plan to spread far and wide across the country and make fitness affordable and accessible to all. BE WELL is our motto.”

Tata Starbucks, the 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages, has opened its first outlet in Gurgaon at Ambience mall, taking its total store count in the Delhi NCR region to eight, according to PTI. 

Speaking on the occasion, Avani Davda, Tata Starbucks CEO, said, “We remain committed to offering a distinct third place to our customers at convenient locations; defining our unique, values-based Starbucks experience.” 

The company plans to open 50 outlets within this year with the JV partners earmarking an investment of Rs 400 crore for expansion. 

Starbucks entered the Indian market in October, 2012 and currently operates 17 outlets across the country.

NEWS | Zara opens store at Ambience mall, Gurgaon

The Inditex Group owned fashion brand, Zara, has opened its new store at Ambience mall, Gurgaon. Spread over 28,000 sq.ft. across two floors with a display of women, men and kids collections along with its new spring/summer 2013 collection.

Zara now has twelve stores in India. It is present in 86 countries with a network of 1,751 stores in upscale locations.

Cosmetics and toiletries retailer The Body Shop has tied up with Lifestyle to open its first shop-in-shop at Lifestyle – Metropolis Mall, Gurgaon. The outlet offers products across skin care, bath and body, make-up, hair, fragrance, gifts, and accessories. This is the retailers 82nd store in India.

Indian fusionwear brand Global Desi has opened its second store in Gurgaon at Metropolis mall. Spread over 600 sq.ft., the new outlet stocks Spring/ Summer collection of Indo-Western apparels including tops, tunics, and kurtis. The retailer had opened its first store in Gurgaon at Ambience mall.

Videogames retailer Game4u has opened two stores in Gurgaon at MGF Metropolis mall and Ambience mall seeing the growing gaming demand in Northern India. The retailer now has four stores in the region including existing stores in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.

Linen Club Fabrics, the brand from Jaya Shree Textiles, a unit of Aditya Birla Nuvo, has opened its first showroom in Gurgaon.
