Outlet
mall are highly popular destinations in many countries, where the
developers are able to build malls in suburbs at much lower costs, and
retailers can offer the ultimate value proposition to their customers at
much lower price offerings. Offering valuable insights into the
opportunities and challenges in developing outlet malls, the upcoming
India Shopping Centre Forum (ISCF) 2013 will conduct a session "Outlet
Malls - Are We Ready for It: Opportunities and Challenges," in Mumbai at
the Renaissance Hotel.
In India, outlet stores are seen on the outskirts of metro cities, with most of them coming up in unauthorized colonies or streets and structures. The session will dwell on ways through which outlet stores can be organized into an outlet mall. It will also shed light on how viable they are in terms of real estate costs vis-a-vis sales, and what are the catchment areas for developing such malls.
Running in its sixth edition, ISCF 2013, to be held on May 8th and 9th, will be packed with excellent business opportunities and insightful conferences.
