The jobholder will support the Head –
(Distribution network & design ) to plan, implement and manage the
new DC set up , re sizing and relay outing, Distribution Centre
infrastructure activities & cost , provide support in developing the
short and medium term cost optimal supply chain design using various
optimization models and work on Distribution Centre Capacity planning
based on the business plans
Setting up of the DC infrastructure for timely roll out of Super Market Stores:
• Identification of Site
• Cost and quality comparison of identified properties
• Negotiation with the Landlords/developers
• Finalization of site and closure of commercials
• Preparation and approval of proposal approval documents (PADS)
• Execution of LOI and agreements with Landlord
• Comprehensive Project Schedule to meet the dead lines
• Supervision of day to day project activity at site
• Negotiation and finalization of Commercials
• Planning and reutilization of used capex
• Project plan and capex approval
• Design and Layout
• Plotting and Slotting – Space Management
• Execution of Agreements
• Technical assistance to LL to create better facility
• To Highlight project related issues and periodic project update to the Management
• Releasing of Advance/Deposits as per agreement
• Comprehensive Project Schedule to meet the dead lines
• Legal and statutory Compliances
• Handover the facility to SM operations
Manage internal and external customer expectations while maximizing the business value creation:
• Ensure that all contracts are effectively and efficiently managed to meet & exceed expectations of both internal customer as well as service providers
• Maintain a responsive open-line of communication with Circle operations managers, B&M managers and Warehouse managers, HR, Finance and Audit functions
• Interface directly with internal customers to develop and accomplish sales and profitability goals of the Circle
• Build & manage cost-effective relationships with all service providers
Plan resources to meet the business growth and store roll-out plans in the Circle:
• Plan, analyze and review the operating volumes and resource utilization for supply chain in the Circle.
• Implement measures in agreement with Head – SCM to ensure manpower & equipment capacities are upgraded according to business growth plans
• Ensure transportation systems are configured to work on least cost by reviewing and implementing most cost efficient route schedules and dispatch schedules
Manage adherence to all statutory requirements as well as ABG values :
• Ensure appropriate quality check systems at key points in the operations to meet corporate quality standards
• Ensure adherence to safety, health and environmental policies for the operations to meet regulatory as well as ABG corporate standards
• Ensure compliances of all key statutory acts, through review of warehouse practices and audits of operations
Team Management :
• Instill ABG values in all warehouse and transportation teams
• Set stretch goals for each warehouse manager to achieve & exceed best-in-class service levels, and meet operating cost & expense targets
• Indentify coaching needs for skills and competencies in the warehouse teams and seek training need from Circle & corporate functional teams
• Develop potential team leaders for warehouse manager roles. Create & maintain succession plans for all warehouse managers
Position is based at Corporate Office. Role involves Pan India travelling for Project requirements
