retailer GKB Opticals has opened its first store in Chandigarh at
Elante mall. The outlet stocks over 2,000 frames and sunglasses from
both international and in-house brands, apart from lenses and contact
lenses.
Speaking on the occasion, BK Gupta, Managing Director, GKB Opticals, said: “Having more than 60 stores in 23 cities across the country, we have emerged in India as the largest lifestyle optical retail chain that offers the best possible eye care at an affordable price. We plan over 70 stores Pan India by the end of 2013 with a year-on-year growth of 15-20 percent."

In-house brands available at the store (priced between Rs 500 and Rs 3,000) include Inspira, Legacy, and Sundrive. The store also offers designer brands (priced between Rs 3,500 and Rs 15,000) such as Ray Ban, Maui Jim, Esprit, Police, Tommy Hilfiger, Steppers, Seiko, Rodenstock, Hugo Boss, Prada, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, along with jewellery and premium brands (from Rs 15,000 to Rs 1,86,000) like Bvlgari, Cartier, Prada, Porsche Design, and Mont Blanc. Progressive lenses, digital lenses, and prescription sunglasses and swimwear is also available at the store.
