Fashion designer Dinesh Manchanda has opened his first-ever showroom, "Satyam Shivam Sundaram," in the country at Pitampura, New Delhi.Spread over 3,800 sq.ft. across two floors, the store stocks party wear dresses, indo-western suits, printed fabrics, sarees, high-end lehengas, bridal sarees, and extended anarkali suits.
Speaking on the occasion, Manchanda said: " The collections are glamorous and sophisticated fusing a cultural myriad of fashion influences to give a distinctive and modern edge to the designs. We experiment with the central themes of feminity and romanticism creating Victorian era clothing that is cut to the curve with soft edging and exquisite detailing. The collections can be best described as ' international styling with an Indian soul.”
As Manchanda wants to extend the store in terms of space and variety of products he currently has no plans of opening more showrooms this fiscal. However, he plans more stores in cities such as Ludhiana, and Ahmadabad after two years. High streets will be a priority for his future stores. He also plans to launch men's designerwear after a year.
Satyam Shivam Sundaram targets middle class families and ladies between 18-40 years from Delhi-NCR. As a fashion designer, Manchanda's existing clientele comes from Punjab, Ludhiana, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad.
