Buoyed by the excellent response to Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin
Donuts, the Jubilant FoodWorks today announced commissioning of its
factor factory called “commissary”at Zirakpur near Chandigarh to cater
to outlets in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and the states of Punjab,
Haryana, Uttarkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant Foodworks Limited speaking to media
persons here today said that the company would open more outlets in
Punjab at Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jalandhar and in Chandigarh region at
Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. He said that of the total 9 outlets
planned during 2013-14 in this region, six would be of Domino Pizza and
three of Dunkin Donuts. As of now, Dominos has its stores in Himachal
Pradesh at Baddi, Shimla, Solan and in Tricity at Mohali, Panchkula,
Zirkpur and Chandigarh. In Uttar Pradesh its stores are at Roorkie and
Saharnpur, in Uttarakhand at Dehradun, Massourie and Haridwar. In
Haryana its stores are at Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Panipat and in
Punjab at Amritsar, Patiala, Jalandhar, Bathinda and Ludhiana. The lone
outlet is in Jammu and Kashmir state is at Jammu.
Ajay Kaul said that “north India is a critical market for us and
the consumers here have shown a great affinity to our brand. In the
past few years, this region has seen a double digit growth in terms of
system and same store growth. To cater to the rising consumer demand and
