After months of negotiations, the much-awaited alliance between Carrefour, the second largest retailer in the world and Biyani's Future Group is slowly getting ready to take off.According to industry sources, Pantaloon is also restructuring its corporate holding structure, which will make it that much easier for the alliance to function in a highly FDI regulated sector.
Biyani was in Paris earlier in the month where he met Carrefour's Global CEO Lars Olofsson to further take forward the ongoing dialogue.
A broad structure has been agreed upon and currently work is on by a core team of professionals to work out the nitty-gritty.
