Roles & responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue
Prepare & achieve sales & expenditure budget of the store.
Plan & achieve margins to achieve bottom line.
Implementing measures of cost control & developing new avenues for promoting the business.
Operations
Ensure SOP adherence.
Ensuring regular audits & reviews to meet desired standards.
Coordination with different departments for operations effectiveness.
People Management
Develop & maintain a motivated and enthusiastic team for achieving and exceeding targets.
Responsible for grooming and development of staff for future roles.
Marketing
Create & maintain a brand image of Big Bazaar.
Coordinate with zonal marketing team for implementation of marketing strategies.
Space Management
Analyse space allocation category and subcategory wise with respect to the sales generated, stock capacity and seasons.
Shop in Shop
Space selling for advertisements, displays and promotions.
Customer Service
Customer relations management.
Resolving customer complaints.
Inventory Management
Coordination with warehouses for stock movements.
Ensuring the optimum stock levels through efficient ordering system.
Ensuring minimal shrinkage.
Visual Merchandising
Visual Presentation of Store and its merchandise
Ensuring clear cut communication through signages.
Liaisoning
Liasion with various Govt. bodies for permissions and licenses required for smooth operations of the store.
Maintain cordial relation with mall management authorities.
Competition Mapping
Comparing the physical appearances, fixtures, lighting and area allocation per category of competitors vai those of Big Bazaar
SWOT Analysis of all the major surrounded authorities.
Controlling Pilferage
Development and implementation of systems to control pilferage/shoplifting.
