Marks & Spencer has opened its fifth store in Bangalore at Koramangala. Spread over 23,000 sq.ft. across two floors, the outlet stocks womenswear, menswear, kidswear, accessories, lingerie and beauty products.
Speaking on the occasion, Venu Nair, Managing Director, Marks & Spencer Reliance India, said: “Bangalore provides us with an exciting platform to grow our presence in India. We have a fantastic high street location for our new flagship store, which showcases an extensive range of our high quality, great value and innovative product.”
The new format store houses its clothing brands Autograph, Limited Collection, per una, Indigo Collection, M&S Woman and M&S Man, Blue Harbour, Collezione, and North Coast.
Marks & Spencer opened its first store in India in 2001 and in April 2008 signed a Joint Venture with Reliance Retail to form Marks & Spencer Reliance India Pvt Ltd. It now has 29 stores located in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Amritsar, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh and Hyderabad. Globally, it has over 740 UK stores and over 410 wholly-owned, partly-owned and franchise stores in 46 territories across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
