To serve its customers better, Peaks Auto Corporation— authorized distributor for Maruti Genuine Parts for Kashmir, has opened an MGP retail outlet at Leh— the roof of the world.It is the first ever high altitude MGP outlet in India located 11,000 feet above sea level, in the city of Leh.
R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India Limited inaugurated the outlet on September 3 in presence of a rich gathering of customers and company executives.
Kalsi on the occasion said: “Maruti Suzuki has been the leader of the Indian car market for over two and a half decades. Maruti Suzuki's sales and service network are the largest among car manufacturers in India.”
He said: “Maruti Suzuki is the only Indian company to have sold 10 million vehicles since its inception. In 2011-12 alone, the company sold over 1.13 million cars.”
“In J&K the company has 17 sales outlets, with a market share of 62 per cent in passenger car segment,” he added.
Explaining the benefits of MGP retail outlet to customers at Leh, Kalsi said the move is in line with the objective of Maruti Suzuki to go nearer to its customers and bring services at their doorsteps.
“The vision of company is to make parts available at widespread locations across India,” he said, adding that the outlet at Leh was the 8th MGP facility in J&K.
Kalsi hailed Peaks Auto Corporation for setting up the MGP retail outlets and serving the Maruti customers.
