NEWS | Six French fashion brands to participate in India Fashion Forum 2012 at Mumbai

Six prominent French fashion brands are going to participate in the India Fashion Forum (IFF) 2012 that is to be held from March 13-15, 2012, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The participating brands are Jules (menswear), Weill (women's wear), Didier Parakian (women's wear), Orchestra (kids wear), Texier (leather bags and accessories), and Mephisto (footwear).

Jules, which targets young urban men in the 25 to 30 years age bracket, has 380 stores in over 10 countries. The brand last year bagged the "Retailer of the Year 2011" award for men's fashion in France.

Weill was founded in 1892 and offers ready-to-wear garments for different occasions. It has recently launched a range of haute couture ready-to-wear collection for women.

Women's wear brand Didier Parakian uses embroideries, pearls, lace and prints for its collections of dresses, tops, skirts, pants, jeans, jackets, scarves and cardigans. The company's products are offered in over 50 countries worldwide.

Orchestra, created in 1995, has over 350 franchise shops in 30 countries. It sells clothes (from infants to 14 year-old children), shoes (from number 16 to 38), hand watches, sunglasses and other accessories. Each season, Orchestra's collection exceeds 2 million models, according to the company.
