Nature’s Essence, the New Delhi-based herbal beauty products manufacturing company, plans to invest Rs 7-10 crore to launch around 30 company-owned salons by 2009-end. Meanwhile, the decade old company plans to launch around 70 franchised outlets this year.“We plan to contribute 100 per cent to the 25 per cent cosmetic industry, so we are planning an investment of Rs 1 crore per franchisee and total Rs 7-10 crore on the retail expansion. Basically, we plan to open franchise outlets more as it has the controlling power with a right amount of profit sharing,” said Saurabh Nanda, director, Nature’s Essence.
At present, it has three company-owned salons, two in New Delhi and one in Kanpur. The salons to be launched would spread across an area of 2,000 to 2,500 square feet while the franchise outlets area would stretch to 800 to 1,000 square feet.
Nature's Essence is a leading manufacturer, exporter and importer of an array of beauty products like cleansers, toners, scrubs, moisturisers, massage cream, face powder, hair bleach, hair dryer, peel offs, soaps, hand cream, foot care and much more. The company is also planning to launch 15 to 20 products including a foray into spa range and liquid color range.
