Movies and More, the movie retail arm of Mumbai-based Excel Productions Audio Visuals, has set a target of opening 40 outlets across the country in the next one year, according to media reports."At present, we have 10 Movies and More outlets in Mumbai. Meanwhile, in 2009, we are planning to expand our footprint by setting up 40 more outlets across the country. Initially, we will target metros like New Delhi, Banglore, Kolkata and Chennai," said MN Kapasi, MD, Excel Group.
“We are also planning to sell home videos of Indian films in overseas markets and are in talks with local content providers in the respective markets,” added Kapasi.
Meanwhile, Excel Home Videos, the home video division of the Group, has roped in Roby Abraham as chief executive officer, who was earlier the marketing manager at Megastar Home Entertainment, Dubai.
